CAREER DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM
CAAN has established a partnership with the Food Bank of Delaware
to offer job training to CAAN Member Combat Athletes upon request.

Job placement services are also a part of this program.

Additional Employment/Vocational Assistance/Referrals will be pursued for CAAN members based on the specific needs of each CAAN member, through the various partnerships
CAAN has established with community resources.

Educational Assistance/Referrals:

CAAN has established partnerships with Literacy Delaware, Inc.,
and other community resources, to assist CAAN Member Combat Athletes
with their employment and vocational needs.
FINANCIAL PLANNING & ASSISTANCE PROGRAM
CAAN has established a partnership with The Del-One Credit Union,
to provide opportunities to CAAN members to open credit union bank accounts.
These bank accounts will provide CAAN Member Combat Athletes with money management assistance, financial investment assistance, possible insurance policies,
and low-interest loans, including small business loans.
INSURANCE & HEALTH BENEFITS PROGRAM
CAAN provides a GoodRx Prescription Discount Care Membership.

CAAN has established a partnership with The Grateful Agency to provide
referrals for Life Insurance/Supplemental Health Insurance
to CAAN member combat athletes through The Grateful Agency.​
BRAIN HEALTH & BRAIN INJURY PREVENTION PROGRAM
​Brain Health/Brain Injury Evaluations
CAAN has established a working relationship with Dr. Charles Bernick,
a leading medical expert on combat sports-related
head and brain trauma at the Cleveland Clinic, and his research team.
Dr. Bernick and his team will provide evaluations and, if necessary and appropriate,
follow-up recommendations for CAAN members, upon said CAAN members' request.
To be eligible for these evaluations, CAAN members must:
1) Be a retired professional boxer with at least ten professional bouts on his/her record, or
2) Be an active professional MMA fighters in their thirties and forties,
with at least ten professional bouts at a high level of competition (i.e., UFC, Bellator)
CAAN provides all of its members with a Brain Health & Brain Injury Prevention Manual.
By agreeing to become a member of CAAN, Inc.,
the C.A.A.N. member agrees to the following:

1. To report to C.A.A.N., Inc. practices and behavior he/she witnesses in the fight industry that may be in violation of the Muhammad Ali Act (Federal Law enacted in 2001) and/or could be detrimental to a professional combat athlete’s physical, emotional, mental, and/or financial well-being. NOTE: The reporting C.A.A.N. member’s identity will always remain completely confidential.

2. When/if possible, to make a voluntary tax-deductible donation to C.A.A.N., Inc., to assist C.A.A.N., Inc. in their efforts on behalf of combat athletes. NOTE: Said donations will NOT BE REQUIRED for C.A.A.N. member to maintain his/her C.A.A.N., Inc. membership.

3. If C.A.A.N. member is an aspiring amateur combat athlete, to confirm in writing, by the appropriate amateur boxing/MMA governing body, that he/she has at least ten (10) amateur bouts on his/her record before advancing to the C.A.A.N. membership category of Active Pro. NOTE: This rule exists to promote and protect the safety of combat athletes in the ring.

4. Combat Athletes must be at least eighteen (18) years of age.
C.A.A.N., Inc., in turn, agrees to do the following for its members:

Provide the Combat Athlete with as much assistance as possible toward achieving and maintaining his/her athletic, educational, vocational, financial well-being and goals, when appropriate and when C.A.A.N., Inc. has adequate funding to do so.

Provide the Combat Athlete with appropriate advocacy services when appropriate and when requested by the Combat Athlete.

It is further understood that the Combat Athlete or C.A.A.N., Inc. can terminate the relationship, in writing, at any time for any reason.
(THE C.A.A.N. MEMBERSHIP RULES MAY BE AMENDED IN THE FUTURE, AS NEEDED)
